Souvenir of the 80s, New Wave, electro, 1st synthe…

The instrumental theme came discovering a groovebox Roland MC505 and playing a Jupiter 8 brass synth sound. Lyrics and visual refer to the 80s, Roland JX3P synthesizer, technos addiction, so inspiring… Musically, the piano is still present to share the beat with a disco bass.

Le thème instrumental de Close to Robert est venu en découvrant une groove box Roland MC505, avec un son de cuivres synthés typique des années 80, genre Roland Jupiter 8. Les paroles (et le visuel) se réfèrent à cet univers 80s, au synthé Roland JX3P, plus généralement à l'addiction aux nouvelles technos si inspirantes. Musicalement, le piano reste présent partageant la rythmique avec une basse Disco.
